Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Split‑Flap Message Board ("we", "our", "us") is designed with privacy in mind. The app collects no personal data and contains no third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs. This policy applies to the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV apps, and to this static marketing website.

2. What we do not collect

All messages you create remain local on your device.

3. Optional Live Feeds

The app offers optional Live Weather and Live Stocks features. These are disabled by default and can be turned on or off at any time in Settings.

• Weather: Uses Apple WeatherKit to fetch current conditions and may request your approximate device location via Core Location to find your city. Location data remains on-device; we do not receive or store it.
• Stocks: Fetches quotes from Alpha Vantage. You provide your own API key inside the app. The key is stored locally on your device and used only to contact Alpha Vantage directly; we do not receive, proxy, or store your key.

Note: Network requests for Live Feeds go directly from your device to the provider (Apple WeatherKit or Alpha Vantage). We do not run our own servers for these features.

4. Purchases

Optional one‑time premium purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. We only receive purchase validation from Apple on-device to unlock premium features.

5. Website hosting

This is a static site. Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (e.g., IP address, user‑agent) to maintain security and performance. We do not combine these logs with other data or attempt to identify you.

6. Children’s privacy

Because we do not collect personal data, the app is appropriate for all ages and complies with children’s privacy regulations in relevant jurisdictions.

7. Changes

If future features require data collection, we will update this policy at least 30 days before changes take effect and highlight updates in the App Store notes and on this site.
